Simran
and Kamal Hassan team together for the first
time in a new film titled 'Pammal K. Sambandham'.

Hassan in a comic role takes a break from
his recent stereotype roles. Actor-Director
Mouli has made a comeback in the silver screen
after a span of 15 years.
With the talented Hassan, in the film are
the beautiful Simran, latest sensation Sneha
and Abbas to do justice to the storyline.
The story begins when Kamal (PKS), a confirmed
bachelor helps his friend Abbas (Anand), who
is trying to cope with his new marital status.
His wife Sneha (Malathi) harasses her husband,
taking advice from Simran (Janaki), a sworn
spinster. Professionally Kamal Hassan is a
stunt master in films, while Simran is a Doctor.
The dialogues form the backbone in the film,
having been penned by non other than the ingenuous
Crazy Mohan. Crazy Mohan known for his unadulterated
humor sends the audience in waves of laughter.
The story, screenplay, direction is by Mouli.
The combination of an effective dialogue and
the acting prowess of Kamal Hassan have made
the film a sure success. Simran, too, in PKS
has proved that she can handle comic roles
well along with the gloss and glamour. The
first half of the film is a comic treat, with
Kamal Hassan’s expressions, slapstick
gestures and excellent intonation. Mouli in
his comeback vehicle also has undoubtedly
proved his histrionic talent as a comedian.
Abbas and Sneha too do well as the second
romantic pair.On the whole, the story line
though unbelievable is a definite must – watch movie, all for the complementing performances
of Hassan and Simran. |
